Rovo Pix Privacy Policy
Rovo Pix helps you browse, organize, and make smaller copies of photos and videos in your system library. Media analysis, sorting records, and compression run on your device. Only if you choose to enable iCloud Statistics will dated, numerical activity statistics be stored in your private Apple CloudKit database. Photos, videos, and photo identifiers are not included in that sync.
This policy explains what information the app uses, why it uses it, where it is stored, and the choices available to you.
1. Developer and contact
Rovo Pix is provided by the developer identified on its App Store page. For privacy questions, requests about your information, or complaints, email zhyl1881@163.com. We may need to verify that a request relates to you and the relevant data. Please do not send photos, videos, or library exports unless necessary.
2. Photo library access
When you browse, compare, organize, compress, save a copy, mark a favorite, or delete media, Rovo Pix uses Apple PhotoKit to access the photos and videos you authorize. This may include the media, creation dates, dimensions, media types, and device-local photo identifiers. You can grant full or limited access and change or revoke it in iOS Settings. Features that need your library may stop working after access is removed. Existing on-device records and caches are not guaranteed to disappear immediately when permission changes.
If an original is stored only in iCloud Photos, Apple's photo system may download it to your device for an operation you request. This is separate from the optional iCloud Statistics feature. Rovo Pix does not upload your media to a developer-operated server.
3. On-device processing and records
Similarity checks, exact-duplicate checks, clarity analysis, size measurement, and compression run on your device. The app stores your sorting choices, protected items, review queue, confirmed deletion records, daily progress, and preferences locally. Similarity features may be cached in the app's private storage; they do not contain the original image but may be linked to a device-local photo identifier. You can clear analysis caches in Settings.
Compression may create temporary files on the device. A smaller copy is saved to the system library only when you confirm it; compression does not automatically delete the original. Sharing, saving, favoriting, and deleting happen only in response to your actions and are handled by your chosen destination or iOS Photos. Deletion requires review in the app and a system confirmation. If iCloud Photos is enabled, changes to the system library may also appear on other devices using the same Apple Account.
4. Optional iCloud Statistics
iCloud Statistics is off by default. If you turn it on, confirm the current iCloud account, and choose whether to import unassigned local history, the app saves statistical contributions to that account's private Apple CloudKit database. These records contain dates, random record identifiers, and numbers such as viewed, kept, marked, and deleted counts, estimated bytes removed, items with unknown size, and completion counts. They exclude media, filenames, photo identifiers, reminder settings, daily limits, and other preferences.
Turning off sync on one device stops further syncing from that device but retains its local records and existing cloud statistics. You can request deletion of the statistics for the current account in iCloud Statistics settings. That may change statistics shown on other devices; it does not delete your system photos or local sorting records. Network, account, or iCloud problems may delay sync or deletion or require another attempt. Apple provides and manages the iCloud account, transfer, and cloud storage.
5. Widgets, reminders, and preferences
Photo previews in widgets are off by default. If the widget feature is available and you enable previews, the app writes low-resolution thumbnails and minimal timeline metadata to an on-device App Group container for its widget extension. The extension does not read the full sorting database, and Lock Screen widgets do not display photos. You can turn previews off and clear shared caches in Settings. iOS may take time to refresh a widget.
Reminder times, daily goals, sorting choices, and widget preferences remain on your device. Daily reminders use iOS local notifications if you enable them. You can manage notification permission in iOS Settings. Rovo Pix does not use these preferences to track you across apps or websites.
6. Purchases, support, and other services
If you buy or restore Pro, Apple App Store and StoreKit process the transaction. The app receives and verifies product and entitlement information to show prices and provide access. It does not receive your card number or full payment details. Apple handles purchase information under its own policies.
If you tap Contact Support, the system mail app prepares a message with the app version, device model, and iOS version. We receive your email address, message, and any attachment only if you send it, and use them to answer or resolve your request. Developer websites, App Store rating pages, sharing destinations, and other external services handle information under their own policies.
The current app does not include third-party advertising or behavioral analytics SDKs. It does not sell your media or sorting records. Local diagnostic events used during development are not uploaded.
7. Retention and deletion
Local records and preferences normally remain until you clear the relevant app data or uninstall the app. Analysis caches can be cleared in Settings. The system photo library controls the original media; its deletion, recovery, and retention across devices depend on iOS, iCloud Photos, and your settings. Copies you export or share must be managed at their destinations.
Optional cloud statistics remain in your private iCloud database until you delete the relevant statistics in the app or manage that data through Apple. Turning off sync or uninstalling one copy of the app does not necessarily remove existing cloud records or copies on other devices. Apple services and device backups follow Apple's retention rules.
8. Your choices
- Adjust Photos, notifications, and iCloud access in iOS Settings, including which photos are available under limited access.
- Clear analysis caches, disable widget previews, turn off iCloud Statistics on this device, or request deletion of the current account's cloud statistics in app Settings.
- View, edit, export, and delete media in the system photo library; view sorting records in the app.
- Email the address above to request access, correction, or deletion of information relating to the app, or to withdraw optional consent. Because most content stays on your device or in your Apple Account, we may direct you to take action there.
9. Security, children, and changes
The app uses iOS sandboxing, file protection, and system permissions for on-device information. Apple CloudKit carries optional statistics sync. No storage or transfer method can guarantee absolute security; protect your device, Apple Account, and any files you choose to share.
Rovo Pix is not designed specifically for children and does not require a child account. If your library contains images of children, they are processed on the device under the Photos permission you grant. Guardians can use system permissions and Photos controls to manage that content.
If app features or data practices materially change, we will update this policy in the app or on the published policy page and seek consent again when applicable law requires it.
